Morocco will be on GMT during Ramadan

2019-04-16

The Moroccan government announced today that the time in Morocco will be set one hour back for Ramadan.

Morocco will switch to GMT before Ramadan, on Sunday, 5 May, 2019 at 03:00 local time, and return to GMT +1 after Ramadan, on Sunday, 9 June, 2019 at 02:00 local time.

Although Morocco decided in October last year to make summer time permanent, it was expected that the time would be changed during Ramadan, as is usual in Morocco. Recently updated computers and mobile devices should therefore handle the time switch correctly.

The time in Western Sahara follows the time in Morocco.
